Support Services

Allgeier Martin performs nearly every aspect of a project in-house. This increases efficiency, lowers cost, and supports better solutions.

Land Surveying

Land Survey

AMA’s land survey department has Registered Land Surveyors supporting and complimenting engineering projects. Our survey crews have premium equipment to efficiently produce land survey data. Several of our staff are registered ITIC users for One-Call. They determine underground utility locations. Most land survey staff are HazMat and OSHA-approved. Our survey crews work in a variety of environments, tackling challenges and producing precision data. Their vital work helps engineers, developers, and builders shape our world.

Right of Way

Right-of-Way/Easement Negotiation

Allgeier Martin maintains a professional staff of right-of-way (ROW) negotiators. These experts are qualified to buy right-of-way or easements on private property. This is needed for developing and improving infrastructure. Conformance with the Uniform Relocation Act is typical on many of our projects. Our negotiators understand the process necessary to ensure compliance with the regulation.

We assist in acquiring right-of-way needed by electric, water, and sewer utilities. Acquiring sections of land across private properties can take time and effort. It occasionally requires the use of eminent domain as a last resort. However, our ROW team works towards a satisfactory negotiation for both private landowners and utilities.

On-Site Construction Representation

Allgeier Martin offers our clients construction oversight services for all types of civil and electric power projects. We employ several full- and part-time representatives. Many have been with us for decades. With their knowledge, they provide liaison services between the engineer, contractor, and owner. This requires both technical understanding and people skills to help navigate challenges as they arise during construction.

GIS Mapping

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping provides positional data on the Earth’s surface. This data is stored and displayed digitally. For utilities, GIS mapping is a valuable tool to help analyze and better understand where to find underground assets. GIS mapping manages a database of assets with descriptions of what is there. It also helps users understand the behavioral characteristics of their utilities and make better decisions. AMA technicians assist utility owners to capture, manage, and analyze their data in a GIS map.

Printing

AMA manages an in-house print shop. Our printing staff are capable of creating various products efficiently. The department primarily serves our engineering and mapping needs. They also do custom work for other firms and clients. We maintain state-of-the-art resources. These include a color digital production printer, a wide-format LED color production printer, a large-format color scanner, and associated document-finishing equipment.
