Wastewater Treatment Plant
Aurora, MO

Background
Like all communities, the wastewater treatment plant needs maintenance and upgrades. They are needed to stay in compliance with regulations. Allgeier Martin (AMA) worked with Aurora to apply for funding and plan needed upgrades and improvements. In the past decade, AMA has made several mid-size plant improvements. We continue to work on larger improvements as funding is available.

Activity
In 2014, Allgeier Martin designed new screening equipment. They also designed new manholes and added sewer pipes. In 2019, AMA designed the replacement of UV disinfection equipment. AMA has also designed renovations to the plant’s peak flow pumping and sludge pumping facilities. AMA assisted Aurora in renovating the tertiary filters with expanded capacity. In 2020, Aurora added sludge storage and handling facilities to the continued improvements.
