Substation 1 Feeder Move

Southwest Missouri

Substation 1 Feeder Move

Background

The utility client sought to decommission an aging substation while expanding an adjacent facility serving multiple existing feeders. The project required designing new 12 kV bays at the expanded substation, with overhead and underground circuit exits, and creating ties to the existing feeders with minimal disruption. Allgeier Martin was engaged to plan the tie-ins, relocate capacitor banks and switches, and add additional switching locations to improve operational flexibility.
