Road Move

Background

In preparation for a planned roundabout project in Northwest Arkansas, Allgeier Martin worked with an electric cooperative to relocate an existing distribution line impacted by the new roadway alignment. The line crossed a state highway and paralleled two intersecting roads within the project limits. It also crossed a foreign utility and was located near a high-pressure gas line, requiring careful design and coordination. AMA designed a distribution line rebuild to shift the alignment to the edge of the proposed right-of-way, tying the new configuration into the existing system. The team participated in multi-utility coordination meetings, assisted with easement acquisition and condemnation services, and provided full staking support—including data entry into the Client’s Futura software, staking sheet development, and Coop mapping updates.
