Background
The City of Olathe has a Capital Improvements Plan. It includes annual renovation of lift stations for the foreseeable future. Allgeier Martin was selected to provide engineering services for the renovation of the lift stations. The project is slated for 2023 and 2024. The scope includes capacity analysis at the lift stations. It also includes retrofitting vacuum prime pump lift stations to submersible pump lift stations.

Activity
Allgeier Martin is working closely with the City. They are performing the initial evaluation, design of the lift station renovations, utility coordination, easement acquisition, and all aspects of the project. Regular communication will make sure we meet the City’s needs with scheduled 30%, 60% and 90% plan reviews. The project is scheduled and on pace to be complete by the end of 2024.

- 2 lift station renovations
- (1) 600 GPM duplex station
- (1) 900 GPM duplex station
- Bypass piping layouts of discharge & force main piping
- Lining of existing/proposed wet-well structures
- Site yard lighting
- Electrical control layouts with shade structures
- Consider air-mixing in the wet well
- Flow metering
- A yard hydrant for wash down
- Electrical junction box between wet well & control panel to off gas and protect panel
- Determine the reuse of existing propane generators
- Laser water level measurement
