Background
To enhance safety and compliance, Allgeier Martin conducted arc flash studies on several substations for a utility client in Southwest Missouri. The team evaluated interrupting devices to determine potential incident energy levels at standard working distances. Using these results, minimum approach distances and arc flash boundaries were established to protect personnel and equipment. Detailed recommendations and labeling requirements were provided to ensure ongoing safety.
