Structural Engineer/Designer
We are looking for a structural engineer to fill a permanent position with our Civil Engineering Department. Successful candidates with 5-10 years of Structural Engineering experience should hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited engineering college. Candidates should possess a Professional Engineering Registration in the State of Missouri or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment.
This person would work with other engineers emphasizing support for water/wastewater systems and transportation facilities and other miscellaneous structural calculations and designs, while also coordinating land surveying and soil testing. Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with clients in both oral presentations and written reports is also desired. The company utilizes a wide variety of computer-based design tools including AutoCAD, Civil 3D and ESRI. Applicants are desired to have experience in utilizing one or more of these software programs.
Responsibilities
- Support for water and wastewater systems
- Support for transportation facilities
- Performing miscellaneous structural engineering calculations and designs as necessary
- Coordinating land surveying and soil testing when appropriate
Requirements
- Civil Engineering Degree from an accredited engineering college
- 5-10 years of experience
- PE registration in Missouri, or obtain one within 6 months of employment
- Good communication skills and ability to work with clients in both oral presentations and written reports
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ESRI software is preferred but not required
