As you can imagine the tornado of May 22 has had a
devastating impact on the community of Joplin and surrounding area. Many, if
not all of the Allgeier Martin family, have been affected directly or
indirectly. We at Allgeier Martin lost one of our long time employees in the
storm. We will miss him and our hearts go out to his family. We were blessed
that our new facility was untouched, however, many of our people lost homes
or suffered major damage. But in the midst of tragedy, it has been a
blessing to see how much people care for one another and to watch as the
community has come together to support and meet the needs of their neighbors
and loved ones. As a result we believe we will be stronger because of it.
The support from the surrounding states and other cities in Missouri
has been tremendous.
Our staff has been heavily involved in helping and
meeting the needs of others within the Allgeier Martin family and the
community as well. Our engineering services are continuing. We have been
working closely with The Empire District Electric Company to help with
restoration of power and structures.
We will never forget those friends and loved ones we
have lost. We believe that the character of the people in this community is
very evident and that this city will rebuild and move forward. At Allgeier
Martin, we will be there every step of the way serving our clients with integrity and professionalism.
