Opportunities

Allgeier, Martin and Associates, Inc., an established consulting engineering firm, is seeking team oriented, self-motivated professionals to serve our growing needs, and the needs of our clients.

  • Quality Control Technicican

The Quality Control Technician checks CAD generated drawings from the drafting department for completion, accuracy, and that they are adequately prepared for construction. All aspects of each drawing are checked to ensure information is communicated and that it adheres to company standards. The drawing is then passed back to the engineer or designer it originated from for approval.

Formatting and layout standards will vary depending on the client, so the Quality Control Technician must be able to learn and apply the various standard requirements that may apply to each project. Often times there are multiple projects for different clients ongoing, so knowing the differences is essential to maintaining control of design drawings. A general understanding of AutoCAD is necessary to review drawings electronically as well as printouts. Substation, Transmission and Distribution electrical engineering drawings and plans are the majority of the work to be reviewed. However, surveys, plats, plans and other drafting output are drawings that will require review by the Quality Control Technician.
