Types of Surveys Performed
Boundary - The corners of the property as
described in the deed are marked. Additional points on the
line between corners may be requested. Fences and
encroachments are shown on the plat.
Topographic - This type of survey shows
elevation contours, trees and man-made improvements to the
property.
Land Title (ALTA/ACSM) - This is a boundary
survey that meets the stringent requirements of the American
Land Title Association specifications. Some loans require
this type of survey. Several options, including
topographic survey, may be selected from a “Schedule A”.
Subdivisions - A survey for the design of
lots, easements and streets. From this type of survey, our
engineers can also design sewer and water systems.
Engineering -This survey provides data for
site plans, construction staking and final-record construction
documents.
Control - A type of survey that provides
ground control for aerial surveys, subsidence monitoring,
benchmarks and dam alignment.
Route - A route survey consists of easement
and right-of-way surveys for power lines, sewer systems, water
distribution, streets and highways.
Mine and Quarry - Underground surveying to
layout new drifts and shafts, establish and maintain control and
produce final-record drawings.
Flood Elevation Certificates - A survey to
determine whether or not a structure or property is in a FEMA
designated flood zone, to determine the base flood elevation and
measure the required elevations.
